Beautifully natural gardens, materials and hardware.
Molly Sedlacek is a second-generation female landscape designer (OR for her Oregon roots, CA for her California base). Her mom broke ground in a siloed sector and Molly's carrying it forward. She builds gardens and outdoor objects meant to feel wild, warm and a little imperfect on purpose. As she puts it, "there's always a wobble or a story." It's all raw natural material sourced close to the site: clay and wild-form pavers, earthen wall finishes, the Alluvium planters, cast hardware you'll want to run your hand over, outdoor showers. Not a plastic, synthetic turf or chemical sealant in sight.
The impact goes past the look of it. Native, drought-smart planting that rebuilds habitat, permeable ground that sends water back to the earth instead of the storm drain, and pieces made by makers she knows by name. Her whole thing is generational: "the more seeds we can plant, the more that can bloom in the future." Go get lost in it.
Their hardware and pavers are things I dream about having a reason to order...plotting!
